Person Specification
 

Minimum Essential Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge

  • At least 5 years experience in general aviation type aircraft (e.g. Beechcraft, Cessna and Piper).
  • Knowledge of how to use aircraft maintenance data (e.g. Service Manuals, Parts Catalogues & Airworthiness Directives on both microfiche and CD Rom).
  • Able to understand and interpret the requirements of CAA light Aircraft Maintenance Schedule and aircraft manufacturers’ maintenance requirements.
  • Be familiar with CAA & FAA Airworthiness Directive formats.
  • Computer literate (familiar with the use of Excel spreadsheets, Word documents).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, with the ability to liaise with personnel in a manner conducive to good working relationships.
  • The ability to work quickly, without compromising safety and quality of workmanship.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Be able to interpret and respond appropriately to verbal instruction and follow company procedures.
  • To be well organised and have a methodical approach.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to meet changing demands.

Other Work Related Requirements

  • On occasions it may be necessary to work extra hours to meet deadlines, it is anticipated that the post holder would have the flexibility to be able to vary their hours to the needs and requirements of the company
